This page gives you the information required before a distance contract is concluded (Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, art. 6, and the Estonian Law of Obligations Act). It applies to consumers who buy from Rubelis OÜ.

Who is your seller? There are two sellers on rubelis.eu. Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye who live in Türkiye buy from Taylan Kırali, Rubelis’s distributor in Türkiye, under Turkish law; for them the Turkish pre-contract information form (Ön Bilgilendirme Formu) applies instead of this page. Everyone else, including citizens of Türkiye who live abroad and foreign nationals who live in Türkiye, buys from Rubelis OÜ. The registration form asks whether you are a citizen of Türkiye and where you live, and shows your seller before payment.

2. Main characteristics of the services

  • Rubelis Presence Diver course (PADI Distinctive Specialty course): the Rubelis Beyond Diver online theory programme; two open water training dives with a PADI Instructor at Guru Dive Doğa Sporları ve Eğitim Merkezi in Istanbul, on a date agreed with you; all dive equipment used on the dives; and the PADI Rubelis Presence Diver certification fee, once all performance requirements are met.
  • Presence Diver course for Rubelis Beyond Diver holders: the same course for people who have already completed the theory programme, with the theory price deducted. Your Beyond certificate number is required at registration.
  • Theory only (Rubelis Beyond Diver): a twelve-chapter online reading programme with lifetime access and a QR-verifiable Beyond certificate. It includes no in-water training and no PADI certification.
  • Presence Instructor training: for PADI Instructors who want to teach the course: the Beyond Diver theory programme, instructor training in online sessions, the first-year licence, materials and instructor portal access. The PADI rating application fee is not included. Details are in the Presence Instructor Licence Agreement.

Certification is earned by meeting the performance requirements, not by paying the fee.

In-water training. In Türkiye, all in-water training is provided by Guru Dive Doğa Sporları ve Eğitim Merkezi, a dive centre authorised by the Turkish Underwater Sports Federation (TSSF), registry no. 755, and a PADI 5 Star Dive Center and PADI Eco Center (Yakuplu Marmara Mah. Ulusum Cad. No:28, West İstanbul Marina, Batı Mendirek, Beylikdüzü, Istanbul), under a service agreement with Rubelis OÜ. Dive training in Türkiye may only be given by TSSF-authorised dive centres or clubs and by instructors registered under their authorisation. Theory-only customers and Presence Instructors may complete in-water skills only at an authorised dive centre with an instructor registered under that centre’s authorisation. Citizens of Türkiye without a TSSF/CMAS diver card dive with a TSSF dive permit ID, which the dive centre arranges; any federation fee, if any, is paid at the dive centre.

Medical statement and insurance. The PADI Medical Statement and liability release are not collected on rubelis.eu; they are completed before in-water sessions at the dive centre, with the instructor who conducts the dives. Personal dive or accident insurance is not included; we recommend dive insurance (for example with DAN).

3. Total price

Service Price (incl. taxes)
Rubelis Presence Diver course 189 €
Rubelis Presence Diver course for Beyond Diver holders 139,10 €
Theory only: Rubelis Beyond Diver 49,90 €
Presence Instructor training 199 €

Prices include all applicable taxes. There are no delivery costs. Course prices apply to training at Guru Dive in Istanbul; travel and accommodation are not included. The PADI rating application fee for instructors is paid directly to PADI. Any currency conversion or foreign transaction fees charged by your bank are borne by you.

4. Payment

Payment is made in euros, by card, on Stripe’s secure payment page, before the service is provided. Rubelis does not see or store your card details.

5. Order steps, storage of the contract and language

You fill in the registration form, review your entries (you can correct any field before pressing “Complete registration and pay”), tick the confirmations, pay on the secure payment page and receive an order confirmation email immediately after the payment is approved. The contract is concluded when the payment is approved.

The order confirmation email is your copy of the contract on a durable medium. It contains the seller, the order number, the service, the total price, payment and performance details, full withdrawal information with the model withdrawal form, a record of the confirmations you ticked with the date, time and text version, the complaint routes and links to the full texts. The full texts remain published on rubelis.eu. The contract language is English (or Turkish if you use the Turkish form).

6. Performance

  • Theory programme: access is opened immediately after the payment is approved, as you expressly request on the registration form; the login link is sent to your email address. Access is for life.
  • Open water dives: the dive date is agreed with you, subject to availability. The dives take place at Guru Dive in Istanbul. If weather or sea conditions prevent the dives, they are moved to a new agreed date free of charge.
  • Instructor training: online sessions, on a date agreed with you.

Nothing is delivered physically. Travel to Istanbul and accommodation are not included.

7. Digital content: functionality and compatibility

The theory programme is read in a web browser. You need an internet connection and a current web browser; it works on current desktop and mobile browsers. No app or special software is required, and no technical protection measures (DRM) are applied. Access is through your account on rubelis.eu.

8. Right of withdrawal

Time limit. You may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion without giving any reason and without any penalty.

Procedure. To exercise the right of withdrawal, send us a clear statement (for example by email to info@rubelis.com or by post to Rubelis OÜ, Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, 10115 Tallinn, Estonia) before the period expires. You may use the model withdrawal form, but you do not have to.

Refund. We refund all payments received from you within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method you used for the original transaction (the same card through Stripe), free of charge.

Loss of the right of withdrawal for the theory programme. Before payment, a separate checkbox lets you expressly request immediate access to the theory programme and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal for the theory price. Once access is opened, the right of withdrawal no longer applies to the theory price (49,90 €) (Directive 2011/83/EU, art. 16(m)). This is confirmed in the order confirmation email. If you buy the theory programme only, you have no right of withdrawal once access is opened.

Services started during the withdrawal period. If, at your express request, dive services or instructor training start during the withdrawal period and you then withdraw, you pay an amount proportionate to what has been provided up to the time you inform us of your withdrawal (Directive 2011/83/EU, art. 14(3)).

Further cancellation and refund rules, which are more generous than the legal minimum and do not limit it, are set out in the Cancellation & Refund terms.

9. Legal guarantee of conformity

You have the statutory rights that apply when digital content or a service does not conform to the contract, under Directive (EU) 2019/770 on contracts for the supply of digital content and digital services and the Estonian Law of Obligations Act (Võlaõigusseadus), as well as the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence. These include the right to have the content or service brought into conformity and, where applicable, to a price reduction or termination of the contract. We provide the updates needed to keep the theory programme in conformity. There is no separate commercial guarantee.

10. Duration of the contract

All purchases are one-off purchases; there is no subscription and no automatic renewal of the course or theory programme. For Presence Instructors, the fee covers the first licence year; renewal after that is governed by the licence agreement.

11. Minimum age and participants under 18

The minimum age for diving is 12. Participants need at least a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver certification or an equivalent. For anyone under 18, registration, the contract and payment are made by a parent or legal guardian on the child’s behalf; the order confirmation is also emailed to the parent or guardian. Before any in-water session, a parental consent document and a medical statement co-signed by the parent or guardian are required. See the Children’s Privacy Notice.

12. Complaints and dispute resolution

Please send complaints to info@rubelis.com. We reply within 15 days.

If we cannot resolve a dispute, you may apply to the Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon) at the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (TTJA, ttja.ee). You may also use the consumer dispute bodies and courts of your country of residence.

13. Applicable law and other documents

Estonian law applies, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence. The full contract terms are in the Terms & Conditions and the Cancellation & Refund terms. Personal data is processed as described in the Privacy Notice.
